Many different therapy are existing (psychoanalysis, cognitive behavioral therapy using the speech (CBT), but also art therapy, or body mediation therapy...) and you can find plenty of training centers for each of them.
These approachs are practised on many different ways : individually, in a group, during a session in a practice, during residential stages.
The psychotherapist can claim a particular school (hypnotherapist, behaviourist...), but he also can use his own creativity to overview different aproachs he's mastering.
As far as I'm concerned, my approach is clearly multireferential, and I use a large panel of technics and approachs depending on the persons I welcome and on their problems. That is the way I can answer with a great precision to many different situations.
